Job summary

The Rose Gaming Resort is seeking a Line Cook to support kitchen staff and assist the Sous Chef in daily operations at the Dumfries, VA location. You will help monitor food preparation, expedite orders for quality and presentation, and assume additional duties in the Sous Chef’s absence.

Candidates should have two years of line cooking experience, proficiency with grilling, broiling, sautéing, and steaming, and the ability to coordinate multiple orders in a busy kitchen while maintaining safety

Qualifications

• Two years line cooking experience required.
• Experience with grilling, broiling, sautéing and steaming.
• Ability to train staff is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepares hot and cold food items according to SOPs.
• Expedites orders to ensure quality taste and timely service.
• Assist with stocking and setting up kitchen stations.
• Plate foods according to senior chef guidance and requests.
• Coordinate cooking times with coworkers during rush periods.
