Job summary

Steelbach in Tampa, FL seeks energetic culinary professionals for a line cook role in a fast-paced kitchen. You will measure and assemble ingredients, work with the Executive Chef and team to prepare meals during service, and help maintain inventories and proper food storage.

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is required. Florida Food Handler Certification is preferred. We offer competitive pay and a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Previous line cook or kitchen experience preferred, ideally in a high-volume setting.
• Working knowledge of basic culinary techniques and equipment.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining accuracy.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must have or be willing to obtain Florida Food Handler Certification.

Responsibilities

• Measure and assemble ingredients for menu items
• Collaborate with the Executive Chef and Cooks to prepare meals during dining hours
• Maintain accurate food inventories
• Properly store food items at appropriate temperatures
• Rotate stock items as per established procedures
• Restock kitchen for subsequent shifts
• Ensure that the food prep area and kitchen are cleaned and sanitized throughout and at the end of shift
• Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
• Performs other related duties as assigned
