Job summary

WE LOVE OUR WORK.
  • Prepares, expedites, monitors, replenishes, and transports meats, vegetables, soups, sauces, and other food items as indicated by production sheets.
  • Reports to Sous Chef at the start of each shift for instructions on specials or menu changes.
  • Arranges mise en place according to posted instructions and menu requirements.
  • Communicates station needs, waste, and discrepancies with immediate supervisor.
  • Prepares and presents menu items according to recipes and presentation standards, as directed.
  • Assists in other kitchen areas as directed by the Sous Chef.
  • Interacts professionally and courteously with guests and coworkers.
  • Maintains a clean and sanitary work environment at all times.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • One to two years of experience or equivalent education and experience.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Ability to respond to guest inquiries or complaints.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and manuals.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret technical procedures.
  • Basic math skills required.
  • Ability to identify problems, collect data, analyze, and draw conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret various instructions (written, verbal, etc.).
  • Must qualify for a license with the Pennsylvania State Racing Commission and meet credentialing requirements of the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.
  • Working on the casino floor may require obtaining a non-gaming credential.

The physical demands include walking (30%), standing (70%), bending, lifting (up to 100 lbs), and climbing heights over 10 feet. Visual acuity requirements include seeing 20/20, color, and peripheral vision.

The work environment is a mix of smoking guest areas and non-smoking employee areas, with high noise levels.
