Job summary

Moldaw Residences is seeking a hospitality focused Line Cook to join our team in Palo Alto. This role handles full-scope, hands-on production cooking within the Community Culinary Services Department, maintaining quality, service, and cleanliness.

Qualifications include a high school diploma; culinary degree is preferred; and at least one year of restaurant or senior living cooking experience. Schedule is 11:30AM-8:00PM with a pay range of $21-$22.50 DOE plus annual bonus.

Responsibilities

• Exemplify Community standards of cleanliness, sanitation and operational organization.
• Adhere to food quality, appearance and presentation standards at all times.
• Produce and serve menu cycle programs that meet nutritional/dietary criteria and prepare diets per policy.
• Exhibit cooking standards of speed, accuracy, and efficiency.
• Demonstrate knowledge in all areas of cooking preparation and production.
• Assist with serving of meals and ware washing as necessary.
• Visit residents to evaluate food service quality, quantity, temperature and appearance, and revise procedures to improve service.
• Represent the community in a warm, inviting manner to create a positive marketing environment.
• Support a culture where business decisions and individual engagement drive revenue and occupancy.
