Job summary

HEI Hotels & Resorts is seeking a motivated kitchen team member to prepare food of consistent quality and support daily operations at the Westin Poinsett, Greenville. You will follow recipe cards, prep ahead items, and ensure perishables are handled per standards.

Qualifications

• Hotel kitchen experience preferred.
• Finger/hand dexterity to operate food machinery with or without accommodation.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food of consistent quality following recipes and standards.
• Start items ahead of time to meet estimated needs and rotate perishables.
• Date and rotate all food containers per HEI standards; check for shortages.
• Keep buffet stocked and assist in controlling food costs and waste.
• Operate and clean kitchen equipment including fryer, broiler, stove, ovens and steamers.
