Job summary

The Westin Poinsett in Greenville, SC, part of HEI Hotels & Resorts, is seeking a full-time PM Line Cook to join an on-site kitchen team. You will prepare high-quality dishes, assist with station setup, and help maintain safety and cleanliness in a fast-paced hotel kitchen.

Prior hotel or large-restaurant experience is preferred. The role requires dexterity, physical stamina, and strong communication with staff and servers to ensure timely service.

Qualifications

• Hotel experience preferred.
• Finger/hand dexterity to operate food machinery with or without accommodations.
• Ability to grasp, lift, and carry up to 100 lbs on a continuous schedule with/without accommodations.
• Effective verbal and written communication; adapt style for different audiences.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food of consistent quality following recipe cards and production and portion standards, per server check.
• Start items prepared ahead of time without over-preparing estimated needs.
• Date and rotate perishables; maintain proper temperatures and proper storage.
• Check pars for shift use; determine preparation, freezer pull and line setup; keep buffet stocked.
• Return unused items to storage with proper cover/date; assist in controlling costs and waste.
• Operate and clean kitchen equipment (deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, mixer, slicer, ovens, etc.).
• Attend regularly and perform other duties as assigned.

No**Overview**Prepare food of consistent quality and assist in kitchen functions.### **Essential Duties and Responsibilities*** Prepare food of consistent quality following recipe cards and production and portion standards, per check from servers.* Start food items that are prepared ahead of time, making sure not to over prepare estimated needs.* Date all food containers and rotate as per HEI Hotels and Resorts standards, making sure that all perishables are kept at proper temperatures.* Check pars for shift use, determine necessary preparation, freezer pull and line set up. Note any out-of-stock items or possible shortages.
