Job summary

Daily Provisions in New York’s West Village is seeking a Back of House Team Member (Line Cook) to join a lively kitchen that produces all-day menu staples from crullers to breakfast sandwiches. You will assist with prep, cooking, and portioning while upholding Daily Provisions’ high standards of hospitality and teamwork.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years as a line cook, can stand for long periods, and communicate in English.

Qualifications

2+ years in a Line Cook position in a similar environment.
Ability to walk or stand for long periods.
English fluency; additional languages preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

Support culture of Enlightened Hospitality.
Prepare, cook, and portion food.
Maintain and use all kitchen equipment including fryers, blenders, food processors, mixers and rotisserie.
Ensure prep is prepped, seasoned and cooked to standards by designated time.
Follow operating procedures and builds sheets for assigned dishes.
Properly store mise en place with labeling and dating procedures.
Keep knives and tools sharp; maintain professional line workload.
Maintain a tidy dish station and assist with deep cleaning and health standards.
Support team during catering and other needs.
Follow Department of Health standards to keep spaces tidy.
