Union Square Hospitality Group is seeking a dedicated Line Cook for Daily Provisions in Jersey City. You’ll contribute to a team focused on Enlightened Hospitality, helping with prep, cooking, and maintaining high standards in a fast-paced kitchen.

The role requires 2+ years in a line cook position, NYC Food Handlers License, ability to stand long hours, and strong English communication. Competitive hourly pay and benefits accompany immediate start.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a Line Cook position.
• NYC Food Handlers License.
• Ability to walk or stand for long periods of time.
• English fluency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Consistently support a culture of Enlightened Hospitality.
• Responsible for all aspects of kitchen operations, including preparation, cooking, and portioning of food.
• Maintains and properly uses all kitchen equipment including fryers, blenders, food processors, mixers and rotisserie.
• Follows standard operating procedures of all recipes, techniques, and builds sheets of assigned dishes as taught by culinary leaders.
• Responsible for correct product storage of all mise en place, including labeling and dating procedures.
• Maintains a clear dish station and assists with deep cleaning schedule.
• Supports the team whenever needed (e.g., catering).
