Creative Dining Services is hiring a Line Cook for full-time first shift at The College of Wooster. You will prepare meals with batch-cooking techniques and work with state-of-the-art equipment in a friendly, inclusive kitchen.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of cooking experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. First shift runs 6am to 2:30pm, Monday through Friday with every-other weekend off.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years cooking experience.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsabilités

• Prepare food items according to established recipes to preserve freshness, quality and appeal.
• Utilize batch cooking techniques to avoid over or under production.
• Maintain established logs (food temperatures, cooling temperatures, cooler & freezer temperatures, etc.).
• Monitor kitchen equipment for proper functioning; report discrepancies to supervisor.
• Open/close the kitchen and secure areas as needed.
• Hold prepared food items at correct temperatures and store with proper labeling.
