Job summary

The Sagamore Resort in Bolton Landing, NY is seeking a Line Cook to join our kitchen team. The role requires motivation, teamwork, and passion for the food we serve, with exposure to Italian, pub-fare, seafood, and steakhouse menus to develop culinary skills.

Responsibilities include setting up stations, preparing items, following recipes, and maintaining sanitation and safety standards. Competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, not required.
• Previous kitchen experience is a plus.
• Understanding of professional cooking techniques and food knowledge.
• Knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication are required.

Responsibilities

• Sets up the station for service according to restaurant guidelines.
• Prepares all menu items in a sanitary and timely manner.
• Follows recipes, portions, and presentation specs as directed by the chef.
• Restocks items during the shift and assists with post-shift inventory.
• Cleans and maintains stations with safety and sanitation in mind.
• Understands and operates all station equipment safely and correctly.
• Assists cleaning and organizing kitchen, walk-ins, and storage areas.
• Performs additional duties as requested by the Chef or Sous Chef.
