Job summary

Westminster Communities of Florida in Saint Augustine is seeking a Line Cook to join the Dining team on a full-time schedule from 11am to 8pm, with some weekend shifts.

The candidate will prepare quality meals for residents, guests and staff using quality ingredients and will participate in maintaining kitchen standards and efficiency in a high-volume setting. Florida SafeStaff certification is required or obtainable within 90 days of hire; high school diploma or equivalent is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Florida SafeStaff certification required or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Three or more years culinary experience in a high-volume dining environment.
• Proficiency with computer programs including Microsoft Office.
• Willingness to assume a leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Setup work stations according to guidelines.
• Prepare all food items per standardized recipes in a sanitary, timely manner.
• Distribute prepared food to service areas accurately.
• Restock items as needed during the shift.
• Maintain station cleanliness and organization; assist with kitchen cleaning.
