Job summary

Responsibilities

• Cook meats, fish, vegetables, soups and other hot food products as well as prepare and portion food prior to cooking.
• Plate and garnish cooked items and prepare appropriate garnishes for all hot menu item plates.
• Inspect and maintain food preparation areas to ensure safe and sanitary handling practices.
• Ensure correct temperatures by regulating ovens, broilers, grills, fryers, roasters, and other equipment.
• Rotate stock and ensure freshness by checking quality of food and ingredients.
• Follow standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules.
