Job summary

Renaissance Reno Downtown Hotel & Spa is seeking a dynamic, service‑oriented Cook to join our kitchen team. As part of Schulte Hospitality Group, you’ll help maintain high sanitation standards, prepare breakfast, lunch, dinner and banquets, and support a collaborative culinary team.

The role requires a minimum of high school education and prior experience in a similar role; strong communication, multitasking and a team player mindset.

Qualifications

• Minimum of High School education preferred.
• Previous experience in a similar role required.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines for workplace.
• Ability to multi-task and manage priorities.
• Strong communication, written and verbal, with a team-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high sanitation standards in the area of responsibility.
• Ensure storage areas are clean and organized.
• Properly handle and store food items at shift end and rotate inventory.
• Prepare breakfast, lunch, dinner and banquets according to specifications.
• Maintain clean, orderly storage areas and product pars.
• Collaborate with manager to create specials and menu variations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
