Job summary

Blackstone Country Club in Peoria, AZ is seeking an Experienced Line Cook for a full-time position within Troon’s hospitality group. The role focuses on delivering exceptional dining experiences for members and guests during high-volume service, banquets, and events.

The ideal candidate will have 2–3 years of line cook experience, strong cooking techniques, knife skills, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced club kitchen.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2–3 years of experience as a line cook in a professional kitchen.
• Experience in fine dining, upscale casual, or private club environments preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, knife skills, and kitchen equipment.
• Ability to work multiple stations and perform under pressure.
• Strong sense of urgency, organization, and attention to detail.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Food safety certification required (or ability to obtain promptly).
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and plate menu items with consistency, accuracy, and attention to presentation
• Execute dishes across multiple stations with minimal supervision
• Set up, maintain, and break down assigned station efficiently for service
• Ensure all food meets the club’s quality, flavor, and presentation standards
• Follow and uphold all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations
• Assist with advanced prep work, including sauces, proteins, and specialty items
• Support banquet and event execution, including large-scale and timed service
• Communicate clearly and professionally with chefs and fellow kitchen staff
• Assist in training and mentoring junior cooks as needed
• Monitor food quality, freshness, and proper storage procedures
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional kitchen environment
