Job summary

First Meridian Services is hiring a Cook to prepare and cook a variety of dishes in a fast-paced airport/restaurant setting. You will follow established recipes, maintain kitchen cleanliness, and ensure food safety and quality standards are met.

The role requires 1+ years of cook experience in a full-service restaurant, with ServeSafe certification considered a plus. Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
• 1+ years' experience as a cook in a full-service restaurant.
• ServeSafe certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications.
• Ensure all food is cooked and presented in a timely manner and meets quality standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations, equipment, and storage areas.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe kitchen environment.
• Assist in preparation and portioning of ingredients for cooking.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as grills, ovens, fryers, and mixers safely and efficiently.
• Monitor stock levels and communicate shortages to kitchen manager or supervisor.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff for efficient workflow and timely service.
• Assist in receiving and storing deliveries and ensure proper storage procedures.
