Job summary

Canad Inns in Grand Forks is seeking a kitchen team member to prepare plates and maintain a clean work area. You will communicate with culinary staff, garnish dishes, and ensure accuracy in presentation and timing.

The role requires flexibility to work days, evenings and weekends, plus the ability to handle a fast-paced environment while upholding hygiene standards. Training and certifications may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced kitchen or hospitality setting.
• Ability to obtain Criminal Background Check and Food Handler & WHMIS certificates.
• Formal or informal training/education in food service.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

Responsibilities

• Prepare plates according to guest desires and Canad Inns standards.
• Communicate all pertinent information to Culinary staff.
• Clean and maintain the work area throughout the shift.
• Distribute menus to proper personnel.
• Garnish each dish for visual appeal.
• Inspect plates for appearance and correctness.
• Wrap, label and date all food.
