$17.00/hr - $20.00/hr

About the Position

Porters Neck Village is recruiting a hospitality-focused Cook to join our team! This part-time position involves full-scope, hands-on cooking in the Community Culinary Services Department, maintaining high standards of quality, service, and cleanliness.

Responsibilities
  1. Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization standards.
  2. Ensure food quality, appearance, and presentation standards are met.
  3. Prepare and serve menu cycle programs complying with nutritional/dietary criteria.
  4. Cook with speed, accuracy, and efficiency.
  5. Demonstrate knowledge in all areas of cooking preparation and production.
  6. Assist with serving meals and washing dishes as needed.
  7. Evaluate food quality periodically and adjust operations to improve service.
  8. Represent the community positively, creating a welcoming environment.
  9. Support a culture that drives revenue and occupancy through engagement and decision-making.
Qualifications
  1. High school diploma required.
  2. Culinary degree preferred.
  3. Serve safe certification preferred.
  4. Minimum of one year of restaurant or senior living cooking experience.
