This is a full-time on-site role for a Line Cook at Langston Bar & Grille, located in Washington, DC. The Line Cook will be responsible for preparing ingredients for cooking, including washing, cutting, and preparing meats, vegetables, and other ingredients. The Line Cook will also be tasked with cooking and plating dishes according to restaurant recipes and specifications, maintaining cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, and ensuring food is prepared in a timely manner. Additional responsibilities include working with kitchen staff to manage orders, maintaining a safe and sanitary workstation, and adhering to all safety and health regulations.

Qualifications

  • Experience in food preparation and cooking techniques
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation standards
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills

  • Culinary school training or a relevant certification is a plus

Salary: $19 - $21 per hour
