Position Summary:

The Cook is an essential part of the Dacha team who, along with other team members, contributes to a superb and unique customer experience. Assist the Executive Chef in executing the menu according to outlined directions with consistency and speed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure that every guest receives an exceptional overall experience.
• Set up, break down, and maintain a clean and stocked station by executing all opening, running, and closing sidework, including prepping mis en place, organizing coolers, and wiping down equipment.
• Adhere to all Dacha recipes, including proper measurements, ingredients, and garnishes.
• Assist the chef in executing service.
• Put away deliveries in accordance with internal guidelines and health department regulations.
• Prepare protein counts, produce orders, etc., on a nightly basis.
• Maintain a supportive and cooperative relationship with front of house staff.
• Understand and follow food allergy procedures and handle special orders/restrictions.
• Follow sanitation and safety guidelines and procedures.
• Demonstrate teamwork with both FOH and BOH co-workers.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Accept direction and constructive criticism from superiors.
• Perform calmly and effectively in a busy and stressful work environment.

Qualifications and Skills:

• At least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to speak, read, and understand both oral and written instructions in English.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Thorough knowledge of safe food handling practices and DOH standards.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to stand and/or walk continuously for 12 hours.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to grasp and hold objects with hands frequently.
• Ability to handle knives, fryers, slicers, rational ovens, sous vide machines, and open flames.
