Job Summary:
The Line Cook at Galaxy Restaurant is responsible for preparing high-quality food items according to specified recipes and standards set by the restaurant. This individual will work closely with the kitchen team to ensure that all food is cooked and presented to the guests in a timely and consistent manner. The Line Cook will also maintain a clean and organized work station at all times.

Compensation & Benefits:
This is a full-time, hourly position in the hospitality/restaurant industry in Wadsworth, Ohio. The compensation for this role ranges from $16 to $18 per hour, paid biweekly. The employee will also have access to benefits such as health insurance, vacation and sick leave, and a 401k retirement plan.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare a variety of food items including meats, seafood, vegetables, and pastas according to specified recipes and standards
- Measure and assemble ingredients for menu items
- Coordinate timing of food items to ensure that all courses are served together
- Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures at all times
- Maintain a clean and organized work station throughout the shift
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient operations
- Communicate any food shortages or equipment malfunctions to the kitchen manager
- Assist with inventory and stock rotation as needed
- Help with training and mentoring new kitchen staff
- Other duties as assigned

Requirements:
- At least 1 year of experience working as a line cook in a high-volume restaurant
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques and food safety regulations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and recipes closely
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Team player with good communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
- Availability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed
