Role

The Line Cook is responsible for providing quick and efficient service to customers in a variety of duties related to a fine dining culinary experience while maintaining sanitation standards.

Responsibilities
  • Follow assignments from the Executive Chef, Sous Chef, or Kitchen Supervisor for opening, closing, and food preparation procedures.
  • Prepare food items according to portion size, quality standards, and departmental policies.
  • Ensure proper food temperatures are maintained.
  • Maintain safety standards, cleanliness, and sanitation of work areas.
  • Keep kitchen areas including shelves, walls, floors, and drains clean.
  • Work as a team to ensure excellent preparation, service, and delivery of food products.
  • Sanitize all dining and cooking utensils and cookware.
  • Handle and clean kitchen equipment carefully to prevent damage or injury.
  • Adhere to uniform and appearance standards set by the company.
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Professional culinary training or experience in a high-volume fine dining or catering environment preferred.
  • Ability to interact effectively with co-workers and ensure compliance with service standards.
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, and guest relations.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency in reading, speaking, and writing English.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 30 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 50 pounds.
  • Availability to work all Prudential Center events, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Sufficient mobility for extended periods of reaching, bending, and other physical tasks.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; culinary training preferred.
  • Minimum three years of experience in a fast-paced high-end restaurant or club.
