Job Summary :
Responsible for the preparation, presentation, and service of all menu items as requested by customers and management.
Essential Functions :
Must be willing and able to :
- Prepare menu items according to prescribed recipes, special requests, and presentations
- Prepare ingredients needed for recipes of menu items
- Master functions specific to menu item preparation requirements
- Safely use equipment necessary for preparing menu items
- Read a thermometer accurately
- Use knives and other utensils safely and efficiently
- Set up correct serving ware for the specific position
- Operate all functions of the position independently if necessary
- Maintain menu item counts and communicate low stock to the coordinator
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area
- Ensure food quality standards are met
- Communicate effectively and cordially with co-workers
- Work calmly and effectively under pressure
- Perform multiple tasks simultaneously
- Perform duties according to standard operating procedures
Accountabilities :

- Wear the appropriate uniform as prescribed
- Work under stressful conditions
- Make sound judgment calls under pressure
- Ensure all menu items are correctly recorded on the computer register system
- Keep the work area clean and ready for the next shift
- Follow proper hand washing and sanitation procedures
Requirements :
Qualification standards :
Minimum of 2 years restaurant experience or equivalent, with knowledge of food preparation.
Must be willing and able to :
- Punctually meet personal schedule requirements
- Project a friendly, courteous, and pleasant attitude
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance reflecting the restaurant's image
- Safely transport containers weighing up to 30 pounds
- Stand and walk throughout the entire shift
- Transport items safely within the restaurant, including stairs and uneven surfaces
- Retrieve and stock shelves and coolers
- Work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Operate effectively in limited physical space and adverse conditions
