The Alamo Kitchen Crew, including line cooks and dishwashers, are the heartbeat of our theaters. As a teammate in the Alamo Kitchen, you’re responsible for food preparation while adhering to our high standards and recipes. A successful line cook ensures everything is in order—from station prep to maintaining a clean kitchen. You will prepare our recipes and plate them for presentation to our theater guests, enhancing their Alamo experience.

CORE ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Uphold standards of behavior as defined by the company's Core Values, Code of Conduct, and Operational Guidelines.
• Maintain the highest safety standards and follow all protocols to keep our teams and guests healthy; be knowledgeable about all Alamo policies and procedures.
• Make food that looks and tastes delicious using high-quality ingredients.
• Organize and prepare guest food tickets based on approved operational processes, focusing on safety, quality, accuracy, and efficiency.
• Utilize tools such as measuring cups/spoons, scales, and other tools required by Alamo kitchen protocols for all preparations.
• Follow cleaning schedules, prep lists, station stocking guides, and other kitchen systems to control food waste, production, and quality.
• Communicate needs, concerns, and other important points regularly with teammates and managers.
• Support the delivery of food and beverage orders as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 1+ years experience in a high-volume food production environment.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Schedule flexibility, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Active food handlers certification with the applicable state agency.
• Being a cinephile is a plus!

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Light lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in a kitchen environment with equipment such as ovens, stoves, dishwashers, slicers, fryers, steamers, mixers, and knives. Frequent exposure to heat, steam, fire, noise, and cleaning solutions.
• Ability to move cautiously and operate in a busy, sometimes loud environment.
