Role of Line Cooks

At SSP America, our Line Cooks play a vital role in receiving food orders, preparing delicious dishes for our guests, and properly setting up the kitchen to ensure every Expert has the product and tools easily accessible during their shift. Our Line Cooks thrive in a fast-paced, Back of House environment.

What You Can Expect

• Follow all recipes and practice portion control to prepare, garnish, and present ordered items
• Maintain proper and adequate set-up of the kitchen/station daily
• Requisition and stock all required food, paper products, and condiments
• Handle, store, and rotate all products properly
• Maintain, clean, and break down machinery and equipment regularly
• Ensure quality by maintaining stock, cutting, and storing perishables daily
• Complete opening, ongoing, and closing checklists as required
• Take responsibility for the quality of products served
• Perform cleaning tasks using standard products to adhere to health standards
• Other duties as assigned
