Responsibilities

• Completes all assigned prep work and sets up cook's station.
• Maintains product presentations, product quality and cook time standards.
• Prepares all menu items according to Applebee's Recipes, Plate Presentations, and specifications.
• Prepares menu items according to recipes and standards.
• Sets up workstation according to station diagram.
• Practices sanitary and safe food handling at all times.
• Cleans and sanitizes the work area before, during, and after shift.
• Completes assigned daily and weekly cleaning projects.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Prior experience as cook, line cook, chef, prep cook, grill cook, fry cook, BOH, or other back of the house restaurant jobs is highly desirable.
• Ability to speak clearly and listen attentively.
• Stand and exert mobility for up to 6 hours.
• Lift pots, pans, etc., up to 40 pounds.
• Read and write for communication.
• Use small tools and equipment with finger and hand dexterity.
• Place plates, utensils, pans, and cases on high and low shelves.
• Mobility required during the shift.
• Transport cases up to 50 pounds multiple times a day.
• Respond to emergency situations to avoid danger.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to speak clearly, stand, exert mobility, lift up to 40 pounds, read, write, and use small tools and equipment.
