Job summary

Dave & Buster's Inc./Main Event Entertainment is seeking a Line Cook in Phoenix, AZ. You will prep and cook menu items to recipes, maintain a clean, safe workstation, and collaborate with the kitchen and service teams to ensure guests receive high‑quality, timely meals.

Ideal candidates have at least 6 months in line cook roles, hold a Food Handlers Certification where required, and can work days, nights, weekends, and holidays. A strong team culture and growth opportunities are offered.

• 6+ months of Line Cook/Prep Cook experience or equivalent.
• Must be 18+ years old with Food Handlers Certification where required.
• Adhere to uniform standards and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Uphold cleanliness and safety standards.
• Prepping and cooking menu items per recipes and standards.
• Minimize food waste by proper portions and ticket accuracy.
• Coordinate with service team to deliver fresh, timely dishes.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and maintain a stocked station.
• Complete opening, mid-day, or closing duties as needed.

As a Line Cook, you are passionate about our ingredients, food quality standards and delivering a consistent Guest experience! You are an expert on our prep and spec recipes, operational standards, equipment and utensils. You're also dedicated to delivering the highest standards in safety and sanitation.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING DAILY?

• Upholding our cleanliness and safety standards (We take this seriously!)
• Prepping and cooking all menu items according to recipes standards
• Helping minimize food waste by creating proper portions, staying vigilant for ticket errors, and communicating with expo
• Partnering with the service team to ensure food is accurate, delivered fresh and in a timely manner
• Adhering to all company and health department food safety procedures
• Properly and safely operating kitchen equipment
• Maintaining a clean and stocked station before, during and after each shift
• Performing opening, mid-day or closing duties as assigned

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Must have at least 6 months of Line Cook and/or Prep Cook experience
• 18 + years of age; Food Handlers Certification, as required
• Comply with the company uniform standards
• Always be ready to create a memorable guest experience
• Teamwork is a must (Remember, teamwork makes the dream work!)
• Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure
• Can effectively communicate with Management, Team Members, and Guests
• Availability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays (subject to business needs)
