Job summary

Dave & Buster's/Main Event Entertainment is seeking a Line Cook to deliver high-quality dishes and memorable guest experiences. You will follow prep and recipe standards, maintain safety and sanitation, and work with the service team to ensure fresh, timely plates.

The role requires at least 6 months of Line Cook or Prep Cook experience, 18+ with Food Handlers Certification, teamwork, communication, and the ability to work under pressure.

Qualifications

• Six months of Line Cook or Prep Cook experience required.
• 18+ years old with Food Handlers Certification where required.
• Adhere to uniform standards.
• Demonstrate teamwork and guest-focused service.
• Able to communicate with management and guests.
• Maintain focus and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Uphold cleanliness and safety standards.
• Prep and cook menu items per recipes and standards.
• Minimize food waste by proper portions and avoiding ticket errors.
• Coordinate with service team to ensure accuracy, freshness, and timely delivery.
• Follow all health department procedures and safety rules.
• Operate kitchen equipment properly and safely.
• Keep station clean and stocked before, during, and after shifts.
• Perform opening, mid-day, or closing duties as assigned.

Job Description: At Dave & Buster's/Main Event Entertainment, our Line Cooks prepare unforgettably delicious food that keeps our Guests coming back for more! As a Line Cook, you are passionate about our ingredients, food quality standards and delivering a consistent Guest experience! You are an expert on our prep and spec recipes, operational standards, equipment and utensils. You're also dedicated to delivering the highest standards in safety and sanitation.

What will you be doing daily?

• Upholding our cleanliness and safety standards (We take this seriously!)
• Prepping and cooking all menu items according to recipes standards
• Helping minimize food waste by creating proper portions, staying vigilant for ticket errors, and communicating with expo
• Partnering with the service team to ensure food is accurate, delivered fresh and in a timely manner
• Adhering to all company and health department food safety procedures
• Properly and safely operating kitchen equipment
• Maintaining a clean and stocked station before, during and after each shift
• Performing opening, mid-day or closing duties as assigned

Position Requirements

• Must have at least 6 months of Line Cook and/or Prep Cook experience
• 18 + years of age; Food Handlers Certification, as required
• Comply with the company uniform standards
• Always be ready to create a memorable guest experience
• Teamwork is a must (Remember, teamwork makes the dream work!)
• Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure
• Can effectively communicate with Management, Team Members, and Guests
• Availability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays (subject to business needs)
