Position Summary: A Line Cook’s major responsibility is to prepare food, assist in food preparation, and set up stations as instructed by the Chef, ensuring standards are met.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  1. Set up station according to restaurant guidelines.
  2. Prepare all food items in a sanitary and timely manner.
  3. Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation standards.
  4. Restock items as needed throughout the shift.
  5. Maintain cleanliness and organization of station, practicing safety and sanitation.
  6. Properly use and maintain all equipment in the station.
  7. Assist with cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen and storage areas.
  8. Perform additional duties as requested by the Chef or Sous Chef.
  9. Prepare various food items including meat, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and cold foods.
  10. Properly store all food preparation items with correct dating.
  11. Use food prep tools according to manufacturer instructions.
  12. Follow closing protocols to properly close the kitchen.
  13. Assist with all duties assigned by the Executive Chef or Sous Chefs.

Training/Experience/Education:

  • Professional communication skills are required.
  • Ability to follow directions and work in a team environment.
  • Work calmly and effectively under pressure.
  • Problem-solving skills, self-motivation, and organization are essential.
  • Commitment to quality service and food knowledge.
