Overview

Prepare food of consistent quality and assist in kitchen functions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Prepare food following recipes and standards, ensuring quality and proper portioning.
2. Start pre-prepared food items, managing quantities to avoid overproduction.
3. Label and rotate perishables according to standards, maintaining proper temperatures.
4. Check stock levels, prepare ingredients, and assist in buffet setup.
5. Store unused food properly, covering and dating perishables.
6. Assist in controlling food costs and reducing waste.
7. Operate and clean kitchen equipment such as fryers, ovens, and mixers.
8. Maintain regular attendance and be available to work as scheduled.
9. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

• Preferred hotel experience.
• Dexterity to operate food machinery with or without accommodations.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. as needed.
• Effective communication skills adaptable to different audiences.

Compensation

Not eligible for tips or discretionary bonuses.
