Job Opening: Line Cook at Omaha Embassy Suites

Location: 555 South 10th St, Omaha, NE 68102

Position: Full-time Line Cook

Pay Range: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour

Candidate Profile:

We seek someone passionate about cooking, creative, motivated, and eager to grow culinary talents. Previous experience in a professional kitchen, a desire to learn, and the ability to work with the culinary team to develop menus reflecting seasonal ingredients are essential.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Develop skills in various cooking techniques
  • Improve proficiency with knives and kitchen equipment
  • Recreate menu items for the restaurant and banquets
  • Ensure consistency in food quality and presentation
  • Minimize food waste through cross-utilization
  • Set up workstations with ingredients and equipment
  • Prepare ingredients such as chopping vegetables and cutting meat
  • Follow sanitation standards
  • Properly store food and supplies
  • Maintain high quality standards for ingredients
Qualifications:
  • Active Food Handler’s Certification or ability to obtain it
  • Willingness to work various shifts, including nights and weekends
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift at least 50 pounds
  • Energetic with a sense of urgency and a desire to exceed expectations
