A leading specialty retail and sandwich shop in Park Slope seeks a new team member. This role involves prepping food, operating various stations, and learning about butchery and charcuterie, all in a supportive, early shift environment.
BKLYN Larder is a specialty retail and sandwich shop in the heart of Park Slope. We have been providing locals with prepared food, salads and sandwiches for 12 years.We are a small friendly team that works well together and we look forward to adding a new member to the crew!
This position requires the ability to do many different types of tasks in large volume on your own.
Bring a great attitude, teamwork mindset and great knife skills
Duties Include:
Setting up Stations in the morning for service
Opening and Evening Shifts needed, as well as weekend availability
Running Hot and Cold Sandwich Stations during service
Prep for salads and soups
Prepare recipes for service and in store
Holiday catering prep
Packing out many different products
Maintaining clean, orderly stations
Maintaining an organized station
Various other tasks as requested by the Chef
Opportunity to learn butchery, charcuterie and fermentation as well as helping with menu development.
If you are tired of late nights or heavy energy kitchens, Bklyn Larder might be the right job for you. Shifts don't start before 8:00 a.m. or end past 9:00 p.m., and everyone receives two consecutive days off. Our kitchen is friendly, inclusive, and encouraging.
Pay:$16.50/HR

Responsabilidades:
Preparar estaciones por la mañana para el servicio
Operar estaciones de sándwiches calientes y fríos durante el servicio
Preparar ensaladas y sopas
Elaborar recetas para el servicio y para venta en tienda
Apoyar con la preparación de pedidos para catering en temporada alta
Empacar una variedad de productos
Mantener estaciones limpias y ordenadas
Mantener el área de trabajo organizada
Realizar otras tareas asignadas por el chef
Oportunidad para aprender sobre carnicería, charcutería y fermentación, además de participar en el desarrollo del menú.
Pago inicial: $16.50 por hora
