Job summary

José Andrés Group's Mercado Little Spain in New York City is seeking a line cook to prep and run a station during busy service. You will leverage knife skills and work with a dynamic kitchen team to reproduce menu items that delight guests.

You will apply a passion for learning, understand all ingredients for authentic dishes, and help maintain high quality and guest satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.

Pay Rate: $21.00 - $23.00 per hours based on experience

Skills & Conditions:

• Ability to take direction and work in a team environment and to work calmly and effectively under pressure.

• This position will spend 100% of the time standing or walking.
• Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours in length.
• Must be able to exert well-paced ability to maneuver between functions occurring simultaneously.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.
• May be required to lift trays of food or food items weighing up to 30 lbs. occasionally.Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, and bending.
• Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
• Flexibility to work some days, nights, holidays and weekends.
