Join to apply for the Line Cook role at The H Hotel.

As a Food and Beverage Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals according to recipes and standards, maintaining a clean and sanitized work area, and exhibiting excellent food presentation and garnishing skills to exceed guest expectations and foster repeat business.

Primary Responsibilities
  1. Set up stations and gather all necessary misenplais to prepare menu items for service.
  2. Weigh and measure ingredients accurately.
  3. Prepare a variety of foods including meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and cold items.
  4. Prepare sauces and garnishes for your station.
  5. Store all food items properly, following safe food-handling procedures.
  6. Inform the chef of potential shortages in advance.
  7. Serve food according to the establishment's standards.
  8. Ensure food is at the correct temperature for safety and presentation.
  9. Taste all food items for quality before serving.
  10. Use food preparation tools correctly, following manufacturer instructions.
  11. Close the kitchen properly, following the closing checklist.
  12. Keep work areas organized and sanitized at all times.
  13. Store all products appropriately, keeping storage areas tidy.
  14. Practice safe and hygienic food handling consistently.
  15. Return used utensils to proper areas after use.
  16. Assist staff with additional duties as assigned.
  17. Clean the kitchen before and after shifts, sanitize refrigerators and storerooms.
  18. Operate and maintain kitchen appliances.
  19. Maintain records and generate reports as needed.
  20. Order and receive food and supplies.
  21. Report any issues with equipment or facilities to management.
  22. Maintain positive relationships with staff, guests, and supervisors.
  23. Perform all other duties as requested by supervisors/managers.
Job Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent vocational training.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Positive attitude and personality.
  • Attention to detail, speed, accuracy, and ability to work independently.
  • Punctuality and reliable attendance.
  • Interpersonal skills to work well with others and the public.
  • Proper food safety training and certification as required by law.
  • Ability to cook and prepare all menu items according to Chef standards.
  • Maintain sufficient stock levels on the line.
  • Ensure a clean and sanitary work environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and stand for long periods.
  • Professionalism at all times.
