Description

Provides support as a member of the Culinary & Events team. Focuses include frozen food preparation and packaging, grab-and-go food preparation and packaging, event and café menu preparation and execution. Additionally, you will be trained on regular duties including counter service, sanitation, event execution, new recipe execution, stocking of products, and other applicable duties.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Cuts, prepares, and packages a variety of foods to be frozen.
  • Maintains expected stock levels of frozen foods in stores and backstock.
  • Dates products and continually monitors refrigerator/freezers for product freshness.
  • Receives and processes ingredients and supplies.
  • Communicates effectively about needed ingredients to sustain expected food production.
  • Executes and provides feedback on new recipes and menu options.
  • Maximizes sales potential through effective procedures for prepping, storing, and rotating stock.
  • Works the café counter and POS system to assist customers with culinary purchases as needed.
  • Assists in events by setting up buffets with food presentation standards and practices, ensuring safe food handling.
  • Maintains a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment.
  • Adheres to all applicable laws when serving alcohol.
  • Maintains knowledge of policies and procedures.
  • Maintains a positive and professional attitude.
  • Arrives appropriately groomed, dressed, and ready to work.

Position Requirements

  • Full-Time or Part-Time
  • Possession or ability to obtain a Louisiana Responsible Vendor permit
  • ServSafe Certification preferred
  • Professional and personable personality
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to lift 35 lbs
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Stand/walk for 6-8 hours in an 8-hour workday
  • Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
