Job Title: Line Cook & Lead Line Cook
Department: Kitchen/Catering
Reports To: Sous Chef and/or Executive Chef
Summary
Legends Global/SMG is currently seeking Line Cooks and a Lead Line Cook to work at the accesso ShoWare Center in Kent, WA. The role supports the main kitchen and concession locations, preparing food items for sale within the facility, and is essential to maintaining the quality and success of our food services.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain an organized, sanitary workstation at all times.
- Set up and stock stations with work supplies.
- Clean up workstation and properly store and label any leftover food products.
- Label and date food items for storage.
- Assist with all food preparation for catering and concessions.
- Minimize waste by controlling usage and following preset portioning.
- Follow approved recipes and production standards.
- Help maintain kitchen equipment and its cleanliness.
- Maintain a clean, safe working environment.
- Work at the Carving Station and/or other locations on the main concourse during events.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Ensure all kitchen personnel perform tasks accurately and in accordance with instructions.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a lead line cook or line cook preferred.
- Experience in high‑volume food service.
- At least one year of experience in a food service preparing meals.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Culinary school preferred.
- Experience with various cooking methods, ingredients, and equipment.
- Ability to produce high‑quality food in a fast‑paced environment.
- Positive, customer‑service oriented attitude.
- Strong knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation practices.
- Maintains proper grooming and dress code standards.
- Strong work ethic promoting urgency and quality in a team environment.
- Accurate and speedy task completion.
- Ability to collaborate with other staff members.
- Capacity to undertake and complete multiple tasks.
- Attention to detail.
- Familiarity with industry best practices.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to pass a credit and background check.
- Must have a current and valid food handler permit.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
