Job summary

Boots & Kimo's Homestyle Kitchen in Kailua, HI, is seeking a line cook to join our team of 23 dedicated staff members. The ideal candidate is self-driven, ambitious, and hard-working.

Upon successfully completing the probationary period, you will be eligible to receive a monthly bonus. Responsibilities include setting up stations, prepping ingredients, cooking with the team, and maintaining sanitation standards in a busy kitchen.

Qualifications

• Cooking experience in line cook or back-of-house roles preferred.
• Willing to meet scheduling commitments and work in a fast-paced kitchen.

The ideal candidate is self-driven, ambitious, and hard-working.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies.
• Chop vegetables and meats, prepare sauces, batters, and other food items according to recipes.
• Cook menu items in collaboration with the rest of the kitchen staff.
• Follow all food preparation procedures and sanitation guidelines at all times.
• Clean up your station and properly handle leftover food.
• Work effectively in a fast-paced, high-energy, and moderately noisy environment with diverse personalities. The kitchen can become crowded and high-pressure.
• Stock and restock inventory as needed.

Qualifications:

• Cooking experience or back-of-the-house experience is preferred.
• Able to meet all scheduling commitments.
• Capable of anticipating the needs of others in the kitchen and proactively working to meet those needs.
• Strong attention to detail.
