Description:

Trinity Health Grand Rapids is looking for an experienced Cook to join our Food and Nutrition Services Team! Benefits are available from the first day, with no late nights! We operate a fry station free kitchen, so no grease traps or oil—leave your shift smelling like hard work instead of a basket of old fries. The kitchen is temperature controlled, providing a comfortable environment during busy shifts.

Employment Type:

Full time / Part Time

Shift:

1st shift 7:00 AM-3:30 PM, 2nd shift 12:00 Noon-8:00 PM

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Serve Safe Certified or obtain certification within 6 months of hire
  • One year of restaurant/institutional cooking, retail cashiering, or as a Mercy Health FANS colleague
  • Preferred: previous large-volume cooking experience and formal culinary training
Responsibilities:
  • Open and close the department, maintaining security.
  • Manage department finances.
  • Follow recipes and HACCP guidelines to ensure food safety and sanitation.
  • Contribute to menu and recipe development to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare meals using batch, large quantity, and short order cooking methods.
  • Adjust recipes to meet yield needs.
