Job summary

Lutheran Village at Miller’s Grant is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Line Cook II to join our mission-driven community. This role involves preparing high-quality meals to residents and guests, following standardized recipes while upholding safety and sanitation standards.

The schedule is 11:30am–7:30pm, five days a week with every-other-weekend rotation. Requirements include a High School diploma or equivalent, 5+ years in fine dining cooking or a culinary degree with 2 years in fine dining, and

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent requirement.
  • Serv-Safe Certification required within 90 days of hire (if expired, recertification within 90 days).
  • 5+ years cooking experience in a fine dining setting, or culinary degree with 2 years of fine dining experience.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook made-to-order dishes following standardized recipes and presentation standards.
  • Plan daily food production, estimate quantities, requisition supplies, and maintain logs.
  • Ensure proper handling of special dietary meals per resident/guest needs.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all work areas and equipment.
  • Rotate inventory in refrigerators and dry storage, assist with inventory management.
  • Support other dining operations and events to ensure high-quality meals and service.

Join Our Team at Lutheran Village at Miller’s Grant!We're seeking a dedicated Full-Time Line Cook to join our caring and mission-driven community. This position works 11:30am-7:30pm, with schedules varying based on departmental needs. Team Members in this role work five days per week, with weekend coverage required on an every-other-weekend rotation.The Line Cook is responsible for preparing high-quality meals according to standardized recipes and dietary requirements while maintaining food safety, sanitation, and quality standards.
