Job Overview

At True Food Kitchen, we pride ourselves on serving great food. We rely on our line cooks to consistently and efficiently prepare and cook our recipes to the highest quality. Many menu items are seasonal, providing a variety of recipes to prepare as we rotate throughout the year.

Qualifications

• Experience in at least one station: Pantry, Pastry, Pizza, Wok, Sauté, Grill. Experience in multiple stations is a plus.
• Preferably at least 6 months in a high-volume restaurant.
• Flexibility to work nights, holidays, and weekends.
• Exceptional knife skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to read and execute recipes.
• A passion for making great food and delivering quality dishes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes using various kitchen equipment and techniques.
• Follow portion sizes, cooking methods, and quality standards.
• Stock and maintain food levels at line stations.
• Portion food according to standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work stations and equipment.
• Ensure proper plate presentation and garnishing.
• Handle, store, and rotate products properly.
• Assist in food prep during off-peak times.
• Open and close the kitchen following checklists.
• Follow hygiene and food safety rules.
• Communicate proactively to resolve operational issues.
• Be flexible during shifts to ensure smooth operations.
