Job summary

The Old Spaghetti Factory in Duarte, CA is seeking a dedicated Line Cook to join our kitchen team. You will follow pasta-specific cooking methods, ensure food safety, and coordinate orders with chefs and other cooks in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates bring basic kitchen knowledge and a collaborative mindset, with the ability to follow directions carefully, manage time well, and lift up to 40 lbs as needed. We offer paid training, flexible scheduling, and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Basic kitchen knowledge preferred but no experience required.
• Great at following direction and step by step instruction with accuracy.
• Able to prioritize tasks safely and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Enjoy working as part of a collaborative team with excellent communication.
• Ability to lift 40 lbs. continuously stand, walk, reach, bend in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Follow specific cooking methods, timing, temperatures, and portion sizes of pasta dishes ensuring quality and appearance.
• Adhere to strict food safety and sanitation standards, including proper handling, storage, and labeling.

• Perform cleaning and maintenance tasks to uphold cleanliness standards.

Line Cook Job Description:

The Line Cook is part of a collaborative kitchen team executing our restaurant’s dishes with precision and care. Basic kitchen knowledge, attention to detail, ability to multitask and work quickly under pressure contribute to the success of this position.
