Delaware North Sportservice is seeking a seasonal Cook to join the Detroit Hockeytown Restaurant team in Detroit, Michigan. The role involves preparing food to recipe guidelines, operating kitchen equipment, and maintaining clean, organized stations in a fast-paced environment.

Shifts include evenings, days, and weekends. No diploma or prior experience required; a strong team player with basic math and reading of recipes will thrive.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand recipes and food abbreviations.
• Capable of working in a fast-paced environment with a high level of attention to detail.
• Ability to work as a team player, following procedures and taking directions.
• Basic math skills, with the ability to calculate and follow recipe measurements.
• No experience or diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Follow supervisor’s assignments for food production and prepare food and beverage products for guests by following recipe guidelines, using proper preparation techniques, and sanitation guidelines.
• Set up, operate and clean kitchen equipment, according to correct procedures as well as keeping workstations clean, organized, sanitized, and sufficiently stocked.
• Work cooperatively with team members and management.
• Follow supervisor’s assignments for opening and closing procedures.
