Responsibilities
  1. Prepare or direct preparation of food served using established production procedures and systems.
  2. Determine amount and type of food and supplies required using production systems.
  3. Ensure availability of supplies and food or approved substitutions in adequate time for preparation. Serve or ensure proper serving of food for tray line or dining room.
  4. Comply with established sanitation standards, personal hygiene, and health standards.
  5. Observe proper food preparation and handling techniques.
  6. Store food properly and safely by marking dates and items.
  7. Report necessary equipment repair and maintenance.
  8. Correctly prepare all food following standard recipes and special diet orders.
  9. Plan food production to coordinate with meal serving hours to preserve quality, temperature, and appearance of food.
  10. Maintain daily production records.
  11. Keep work area neat and clean at all times; clean and maintain equipment used in food preparation.
  12. Complete food temperature checks before service.
  13. Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
