Job summary

Deering Bay Yacht and Country Club in Coral Gables, FL is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Line Cook to join our fast-paced hospitality team. You will learn and maintain food production standards, expedite orders, and support banquet events under Troon management.

Ideal candidates hold an Associate’s degree in Culinary Arts and two years of culinary experience, with SERV Safe certification preferred. We offer healthcare, retirement benefits, and PTO.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Learn and maintain food production and quality standards.

  • Maintain sanitation and cleanliness throughout the kitchen.
  • Prepare food according to production forecasts and recipes.
  • Assist in banquet function execution.
  • Check deliveries and rotate stock daily.
  • Communicate equipment repair needs to the chef.
  • Attend staff meetings and training.
  • Follow safety practices and report variances.

Deering Bay Yacht and Country Club, located in Coral Gables, FL, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for aFull-Time Line Cook! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast‑paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part ofTroon, you’ll contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Responsibilities:
  • Learn and maintain standards in food production and quality.
  • Expedite orders in a timely manner.
  • Practice proper sanitation and cleanliness standards.
  • Execute scheduled banquet functions.
  • Maintain professional relationships with fellow associates.
  • Assist in reducing waste and loss.
  • Communicate equipment repair needs to the chef.
  • Actively participate in training efforts.
  • Incorporate safe work practices in job performance.
  • Attend staff meetings.
  • Check and date all deliveries and report any variances to the chef in charge.
  • Verify all coolers are at proper temperatures and cleaned daily.
  • Process inventory requisitions and receive supplies as needed.
  • Prepare food according to production forecasts and plans.
  • Follow established recipes to ensure product consistency.
Education/Experience:
  • Associate’s degree in Culinary Arts and two years of culinary experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certificates/Licenses:
  • SERV Safe certification preferred.
