What you will be doing:

  • Prepare food of consistent quality following recipes, production, and portion standards, based on server checks.
  • Start pre-prepared food items, ensuring not to overprepare estimated needs.
  • Label and rotate all food containers according to Crescent standards, maintaining proper temperatures for perishables.
  • Check inventory levels, prepare necessary ingredients, and assist in maintaining buffet stock levels.
  • Return unused food to storage, covering and dating perishables appropriately.
  • Assist in managing food costs, minimizing waste, and controlling usage as per Crescent standards.
  • Operate and clean kitchen equipment such as fryers, broilers, stoves, steamers, food processors, mixers, slicers, ovens, steam tables, tilt kettles, waffle irons, and flat-top grills.
  • Maintain regular attendance and be available to work shifts as scheduled.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

What is required:

  • Serve Safe and Food Handler certifications
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Self-motivated, professional appearance and demeanor
  • Good communication skills with guests and team members
  • Willingness to assist colleagues and work as part of a team
  • Dexterity to operate food machinery
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs. repeatedly
