The Dietary Cook is responsible for preparing appropriately cooked meals. They must comply with standards of business conduct in accordance with federal, state and local health and regulatory standards and guidelines. The provision of these services must be performed to ensure the health, welfare and safety of our residents is of primary concern.
- Responsible for preparing and cooking a wide variety of foods for residents, employees and visitors
- Prepares food according to recipes and diet orders and plans cooking schedules to meet mealtime schedules.
- Performs dietary related and cleaning duties as assigned.
- Handles and prepares food in accordance with sanitary regulations, following diet orders prescribed by resident physicians.
- Take necessary measure to avoid food waste; properly cares for equipment.
- Report any occupational exposures to blood, body fluids, infectious materials or hazardous chemicals to the supervisor immediately.
- Participate in life safety and emergency drills and trainings.
- Assist in organizing ordered items on delivery days
Communication:- Review and document cleaning schedule daily/routinely.
- Complete assignments as scheduled.
- Document items that need to be ordered in a timely manner.
- Lead by example being visible, involved and accessible.
Qualifications:- Education: High School Diploma, GED or equivalent preferred
- Experience: Six (6) months prior long term care experience preferred
- Testing: State approved Criminal Background Check and as needed Drug Screening

Schedule:
- Full-time, including scheduling for every other weekend
