Job summary

Snooze SouthPark is hiring a Line Cook to join our breakfast-focused team. You’ll prepare high-quality dishes with a focus on speed, accuracy, and teamwork, using a variety of kitchen tools and equipment.

We offer weekly pay, no late nights, a breakfast-forward benefits package, and opportunities for development. Previous restaurant experience is preferred, with a minimum of 1 year in the industry.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in the restaurant industry.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and communicate clearly with management.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the quality, food safety/sanitation, and timeliness of dishes served.
• Be familiar with all menu items, recipes, plating guidelines, and sanitation basics.
• Prepare a variety of food items using knives, mixers, immersion blenders, food processors, scales, and portion bags.
• Prepare foods for service using ovens, gas stoves, griddles, and broilers.
• Maintain a clean and sanitized work station.
• Handle all products per Health Department standards and Snooze guidelines.

Line Cook Earning Potential: $17.00 - $20.00/hour

The Position Specifics

The Snooze Line Cook ensures that each Snooze food item is prepared with the highest quality, care, and craftsmanship. The best pancakes in all the land are in the hands of our Line Cooks. The responsibilities of this position include:

• Responsiblefor the quality, food safety/sanitation, and timeliness of dishesserved
• Responsible for being well-acquainted with all menu items, recipes, plating guidelines, and sanitation/basic safetyinformation
• Prepares a variety of food items using knives, electric mixers, immersion blenders, food processors, scales, and portionbags
• Prepares foods for service using ovens, gas stoves, griddles, andbroilers
• Maintains a clean and sanitawork stationand workingarea
• Handlesall products properly in accordance with Health Department standardsand Snoozeguidelines

Is This Role For you?

Line Cooks at Snooze are...

• fun, energetic, eager and a committed team member.
• experienced. A minimum of 1 year of experience in the restaurant industry.
• fast paced. A minimum of 6 months experience in a high-volume restaurant setting preferred.
• able to communicate clearly with managementstaff.
• able to reach, bend, stoop and frequentlylift upto 50pounds.
• able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 10 hours).
• at least 17 years of age and authorized to work in the US.

Certification Requirements

All county required food and alcohol serving certifications must be obtained prior to employment.
