Job summary

Snooze is seeking a Line Cook in Scottsdale, AZ to prepare breakfast dishes with care and craftsmanship. You will ensure quality, food safety, and timely service while using a range of kitchen equipment.

You’ll work in a fast-paced team environment and contribute to a welcoming dining experience for guests. Ideal candidates have at least 1 year in a restaurant setting, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and are comfortable standing for long periods.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in the restaurant industry.
• Preference for 6 months in a high-volume restaurant setting.
• Ability to communicate clearly with management staff.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand up to 10 hours.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality, safety/sanitation, and timely dish preparation.
• Know all menu items, recipes, plating guidelines, and safety information.
• Prepare a variety of food items using knives, mixers, blenders, scales, and bags.
• Cook foods using ovens, stoves, griddles, and broilers.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary work station and handling products per guidelines.

The Position Specifics

The Snooze Line Cook ensures that each Snooze food item is prepared with the highest quality, care, and craftsmanship.

The best pancakes in all the land are in the hands of our Line Cooks.

The responsibilities of this position include:

• Responsible for the quality, food safety/sanitation, and timeliness of dishes served
• Responsible for being well-acquainted with all menu items, recipes, plating guidelines, and sanitation/basic safety information
• Prepares a variety of food items using knives, electric mixers, immersion blenders, food processors, scales, and portion bags
• Prepares foods for service using ovens, gas stoves, griddles, and broilers
• Maintains a clean and sanitary work station and working area
• Handles all products properly in accordance with Health Department standards and Snooze guidelines

• fun, energetic, eager and a committed team member.
• experienced. A minimum of 1 year of experience in the restaurant industry.
• fast paced. A minimum of 6 months experience in a high-volume restaurant setting preferred.
• able to communicate clearly with management staff.
• able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
• able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 10 hours).
• at least 17 years of age and authorized to work in the US.

Certification Requirements

All county required food and alcohol serving certifications must be obtained prior to employment.
