Base pay range

$18.00/hr - $25.00/hr

Position: Line Cook / Sous Chef

Purpose

We are seeking professionals to create and prepare delicious food in our restaurant and to set up stations for smooth service. A successful team member will contribute to our guests’ experience and develop their skills throughout their career at Avery.

Responsibilities
  1. Prep food for successful service.
  2. Demonstrate proper cooking techniques, correct temperatures, food quality, organization, and cleanliness.
  3. Navigate carefully through tight spaces in a fast-paced environment.
  4. Execute recipes and plating consistently and correctly.
  5. Create quality food for guests.
  6. Assist stations and co-workers as needed during free time.
Expectations
  1. 1+ years of high-output kitchen experience preferred.
  2. Extreme attention to detail.
  3. Willing attitude and team mentality.
  4. Flexibility and adaptability.
Minimum Requirements
  1. Ability to lift 30 lbs responsibly and often throughout a shift.
  2. Ability to stand for 8+ hours per shift.
  3. Manage cooking multiple items simultaneously.
  4. Understanding of food health and safety practices.
  5. Maintain focus and awareness of surroundings at all times.
  6. Work well with a team under fast-paced and hot conditions.
Compensation and Benefits
  • $18-$25 per hour base rate depending on experience, plus additional gratuity.
