Job Location: Restoration House - Atlanta, GA 30318

Position Type: Full Time

Salary Range: $17.00 - $19.00 Hourly

Travel Percentage: None

Shift: Wednesday - Sunday, 10am-6pm

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Prepare a wide variety of foods for 300+ people
  • Follow recipes and improvise when ingredients are scarce
  • Prepare components of each dish from the menu
  • Adhere to serving portion sizes and basic meal prep procedures
  • Set up and break down workstations to serve meals, following a schedule
  • Ensure all food prep and storage areas meet established standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining area per standards
  • Collaborate with clients, volunteers, and temp staff to prep for other shifts
  • Monitor product freshness and rotate items using FIFO method
  • Organize, disperse, and properly store inventory
  • Lead clients, temps, and volunteers when the Supervisor is absent
  • Assist in loading the van for lunch and dinner transport

Position Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 year of food service operation experience
  • Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling, etc.)
  • Comfortable working with a team in a fast‑paced kitchen environment
  • Flexible with menus and meal prep; able to problem‑solve when ingredients are not available
  • Ability to receive and incorporate instruction, feedback, and coaching effectively
  • Clean MVR Record
Certification and License Requirements
  • ServSafe certification preferred
  • Valid Driver's License
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for eight hours or more a day
  • Must be able to communicate accurate information
  • Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
  • Comfortable working in hot kitchen and cold, cooler, and freezer environments
Environmental Job Requirements
  • Moderate kitchen noise
  • Medium exposure to communicable diseases as outlined by OSHA
