Job Title: Line Cook

Pay Details: The starting hourly rate for this position is $23.00 per hour.

Line Cooks are responsible for supporting kitchen operations by assisting Chefs and other kitchen staff. They support culinary leadership in daily tasks, oversee menu item production, and execute events across multiple locations and stations within the arena. Line Cooks should be able to work any kitchen station with minimal instruction, possess thorough knowledge of station prep and equipment setup, and ensure safety and sanitation standards are maintained at all times. This is a part-time, event-based position in the Food and Beverage Department of Anaheim Arena Management, LLC (“AAM”). Hours vary depending on the arena event schedule.

Responsibilities
  • Follow recipe guidelines accurately to prepare food based on the current menu
  • Display knowledge of all menu items, ingredients, and food preparations
  • Maintain inventory and production levels for assigned stations at each event
  • Prepare soups, salads, gravies, desserts, sauces, and casseroles
  • Bake, roast, broil, and steam meats, fish, vegetables, and other foods
  • Add seasoning during mixing or cooking based on judgment and experience
  • Adjust oven, broiler, grill, roaster, and steam kettle temperatures as needed
  • Measure and mix ingredients using various kitchen utensils and equipment
  • Test cooked foods by tasting and smelling to ensure quality
  • Carve meats, portion food, add gravies and sauces, and garnish servings
  • Prepare vegetables and fruits for use, including washing, peeling, and cutting
  • Cut, trim, and bone meat prior to cooking
  • Bake bread, rolls, cakes, and pastries
  • Perform various kitchen duties such as cleaning, grinding meats, breading, and straining soups and sauces
  • Weigh and measure ingredients accurately
  • Ensure food quality, appearance, and temperature meet standards
  • Complete daily logs and monitor temperatures with proper equipment
  • Practice safety and sanitation standards, including proper equipment use
  • Label, date, and rotate food using FIFO method
  • Identify presence of common food allergens and follow procedures regarding them
  • Engage with guests and team members to provide exceptional hospitality
  • Navigate the arena efficiently and assist guests accordingly
  • Support other Food & Beverage departments as needed
  • Collaborate with operations teams to ensure quality service during events
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management
